The President of the Republic, Mr. Danilo Medina, will lead the central event on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Dominican Association of Free Zones (ADOZONA) event that will gather a broad representation of the country’s business leadership.
The activity will take place on October 15 during the traditional ADOZONA Annual Lunch, where the outstanding North American business consultant Harold Sirkin, representative of one of the largest private companies in the United States and globalization expert, will participate as an international guest, Innovation and management transformations.
Sirkin, senior partner of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and co-author of two of the best-selling books on innovation and competitiveness, will participate in a conference-colloquium with the title “Made in America, again.”
At lunch, to be held at the Jaragua hotel, the presidents and main executives of the most important free zone companies established in the Dominican Republic will be present, as well as renowned industrialists and businessmen, government authorities, opinion leaders and representatives of various sectors Economic and social.
During the last years the Free Zones sector has registered a significant process of diversification and growth that has allowed it to increase its contributions to the economic and social development of the country. Currently, the 588 companies in the sector generate about 140,000 direct jobs and make annual exports of US $ 5,000 million.
