On August 10th, members of the Medical Devices Cluster’s Managers Committee participated in Free Zones, Opportunity Zones 2023, as part of the 35th anniversary of the Dominican Association of Free Zones.
Within the event, Diana Báez, General Manager of Baxter Healthcare at PIISA Industrial Park, took part in the panel discussion titled “Industrial Eco-parks: A Sustainable Vision for the Dominican Republic.”
During her participation, she shared information about the sustainable development initiatives that the company has implemented. Among these initiatives is a solar plant with a capacity of 2,000 kW, making it the largest within the Baxter corporation worldwide and thus representing 90% of the energy used by its operations.
